Hope House

Chanhassen, Minnesota

The Open Hands Foundation exists to help community thrive. Rooted in compassion and guided by action, the Foundation creates and supports solutions that address the unmet needs of vulnerable individuals and families across the Twin Cities Southwest Metro Area. By identifying the most pressing challenges in our neighborhoods and mobilizing the generosity of local friends, partners, and supporters, Open Hands transforms goodwill into meaningful, lasting social change.
At its core, the Foundation is driven by a simple but powerful mission: meeting the unmet needs of the vulnerable in our community. This mission is realized through thoughtful partnerships, strategic investment, and a commitment to initiatives that create both immediate relief and long-term stability.
One of the Foundation’s primary efforts is its support of Hope House, a shelter for homeless youth located in Chanhassen. Hope House provides more than temporary housing—it offers safety, dignity, and a pathway forward for teens experiencing crisis. Through this partnership, Open Hands Foundation helps stabilize teens facing uncertainty, transition them into safe and secure shelter, and equip both youth and families with the resources necessary to build lasting stability.
The Foundation’s impact extends beyond shelter. By investing in flexible, thoughtfully designed spaces and programs, Open Hands maximizes the utilization of every resource—ensuring environments can adapt to changing needs while maintaining a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. Each initiative is designed not only to respond to crisis but to improve opportunity, strengthen resilience, and create pathways for young people to thrive.
Through collaboration, generosity, and a shared commitment to community wellbeing, the Open Hands Foundation continues to provide hope to neighbors in need—making a measurable and lasting difference in the lives of those it serves.
